Hi guys,
I got the new Forge World Extra Armour kit cleaned up, straightened and glued onto the Land Raider - and all with only one minor stab wound from the scalpel to show for it... :)
The next stage is figuring out how to mount on the Frag Assault Launchers and this will be ready for priming and painting.
I am thinking of cutting the Frag Assault Launchers down to a block of 2x2 instead of the usual 2x3 and fitting them into the recess of the front of the extra armour. I will see how it goes I guess.
Here are a couple pictures anyway.

Hey mate I just wanted to chime in and say thanks for posting up such an awesome LR build.
ReplyDeleteI'd ordered some spaced armour for mine from FW and was doing some searches to see what came up with LR's and Extra Armour when I found a picture of your tank.
I've gotta say I'd never seen or thought of the MM Razorback Turret as an option for the top of the tank in lieu of the Pintle MM. It looks 1000x better and I just jumped on the FW site and ordered one for my LR.
Thanks for giving me such a good idea and doing the write up on how to fit it (I'm probably just going to cut the locater ring off the bottom of the turret and graft a spare cupola ring on instead though).
Did you end up getting this painted up?
